I cannot select the arrival date I want - what's wrong?
|
When you enter dates to make a reservation, only valid arrival dates are displayed.
Reservations are available on a nine month window.
The dates available in the drop down boxes will be limited to dates within the current nine month window.
Remember that since the reservation window rolls over at 7AM, you will only be able to select a date exactly nine months ahead after 7AM.

I made a booking and it is showing as pending, what does this mean?
|
On rare occasions, a transaction request will not be able to return a confirmation to the user.
This can happen, for example, when a browser times out before a response is received from the server.
In these situations, you will see the status of your reservation listed as 'pending'.
The status of the booking should be updated within 24 hours of the problem transaction.
If you have a booking that has been pending for more than 24 hours you should call the reservation call center at 1-888-CAMP-OUT (1-888-226-7688) to confirm the current status.
IF you have a booking listed as 'pending' that reservation is NOT confirmed and you may not have a reservation.

I made a reservation through the call center, why can't I view it online?
|
When you make a booking through the call center, we do not ask you for your online password.
Without this identifying information we cannot give online access to these bookings.
With the current system, therefore, you can only view online transactions online.
To change or cancel bookings made at the call center or at the park you should call the reservation call center.

What happened to the Discover card payment option?
|
Washington State Parks is discontinuing acceptance of the Discover Card. We find that very few credit card customers pay with Discover Card and, compared to other credit cards, the merchant fees and accounting effort are higher for Discover Card. We are taking this step to make our operation more efficient and to save money for parks. You can still use MasterCard or Visa cards to make reservations

Why can't I find Fort Canby State Park?
|
As part of the preparation for the commemoration of the bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Washington State Parks renamed Fort Canby, Cape Disappointment State Park in October 2003.
This new park name recognizes the geographical significance of the park and is the name given to the area by John Mears in 1788 after an unsuccessful attempt to find the mouth of the Columbia River.
The park houses the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center telling the story of Lewis and Clark and their journey from St. Louis to the Pacific Ocean between December 1803 and September 1806.
